Traffic Routes and Park & Ride

In order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic to the Show, visitors are asked to use the routes recommended.

Remember - your co-operation with the Police and the Traffic Management Marshals is essential and will reduce delays.

The underlying principle of the traffic management plan is that traffic will be directed to park off the approach road, whether it be the A483 from the South West, the A470 from the South East, the A470 from the North West, the A483 from the North East or the A481 from the East.

Parking at all of our satellite car parks is FREE.

Please note that only vehicles displaying official Society labels will be permitted into the forward car parks reserved for Livestock and Trade Exhibitors, Judges & Stewards and North 5 vehicle passes.  All visitors will be expected to park in the outlying free car parks and travel to and from the showground by our very successful free shuttle bus service.

To avoid congestion, visitors without specific show vehicle passes will be parked in the first available car park as they approach the Showground.

Visitors with specific show vehicle passes must affix these clearly to the top centre of the windscreen.  If the vehicle windscreen has a tint band, then visitors are requested to fix the pass below the band.  If passes are not displayed, the Police and Traffic Management Marshals will park the visitors in the first available car park.

Priority for forward parking will only be given to those clearly displaying show vehicle passes.

Visitors are asked to follow the directions of the Police and Traffic Management Marshals and not to question their authority.  In the interest of traffic flow you are requested not to speak to the Police and Marshals unless in an emergency as this will cause delay.

North-West Wales (Anglesey, Conwy and Gwynedd) - Motorists from North West Wales are advised to use the A470 via Rhayader to North 18 car park (LD2 3RU) (Graig Goch Farm, Cwmbach).  A free Shuttle Bus service will operate to and from the Showground.
